Yay! I get to do things

My human's took me to visit

I had a fun and exciting day, even if it was not a play date for me. I got to lick people, smell things, and see cats who I like. But I am not always sure they like me, but they should. Oh and did I say smell things, I like to smell in case, you know, Gophers are in the area and I need to protect everyone from them.  While my humans had socially distanced coffee with a couple of cats and their servants, I had fun getting lots of attention and pets. I even let them pet my head, and I don't like when my humans do that most of the time.  My humans drove me, since I can’t drive or least that is what they tell me. I had a nice time in the family "truckster" since I was able hang my head out the window and make sure no gophers were on the lose in the neighborhood.

I also did not get to nap while we visited like I normally do at home, so as you can see in my pic once we got home that I was tuckered out and was out for most of the afternoon and evening.

I could not NAP while my humans visited!!!pooped dog

Graham Crackers

I found my new favorite food in the whole wide world! Graham Crackers — they are best food ever.  They really are, and don't come between me and them.  My humans gave me some one day, and that was it I can't get enough! I want them ALL I tell you.  Every last one in the world I could eat, I am sure of that.  My humans can be mean by not letting me eat them all but I still love them.  They try telling me that it's for my own good and it's not good for me to have too many, but I’m convinced that they are hoarding them for themselves! I found out the other day when they tried to eat one WITHOUT me! Can you believe they did that.  Good thing I was just outside and could hear the package being opened.  I managed to get back inside as fast as I can run (Did I tell you I like to run, really fast) and caught them in the act of eating Graham Crackers.  I let them know that I WANTED some too and they gave me some.  Good thing, I would hate to have to find new humans!

Well that did not last long

QuarantinedGoing to the Vet does not count!!!Going to the Vet

Now we are Quarantined!

You know what, I don't like being quarantined.  I was only home for a couple of months, and now quarantined just when I was starting to get used to people and the other dogs in my neighborhood.  My humans would take me for walks and I would get to meet the other humans and dogs. If I am being honest, I would like to get to know these humans and other dogs, but given my shyness sometimes I just like to be close to them and not interact with them, and then I cry and whimper when we leave them.  I just want them to know I am here and that they should like me, really they should.  I don't bite, and I love attention on my terms. Now and then I do like to jump up on human to make sure they know I’m there. I also like cats, grandma has a cat named Nick. I like to play with him and grandma gives me treats, BUT I can't even see Nick now being quarantined! At least grandma leaves treats out for me every day.

A word to you humans out there, wear your mask so that we can put this behind us and I can visit grandma again!

I have a Play Date

Well, I had a play date but the heat caused my humans to cancel it. This was going to be my first play date, I’m so bummed. I never get to play with other doggies, my humans want me to and they even setup a socially distanced for humans play date for me with another dog. Then it got hot and has been staying hot.  It's too hot outside for me to run around and play longer than ten or fifteen minutes, you know I am part Husky and that part of me overheats really fast even through my fur is not that long.

I find my forever humans

I think I want to go home with youI think I want to go home with you

It was the end of September 2019, when my people felt it was time that they got a dog, after all Scooby has been wanting me for years, and was just waiting for me to show up at the shelter even if he did not know this. So off they went to find one and came home with me, Quasimodo.

I was adopted from the Helen Woodward Animal Center in San Diego.  I was very shy when my humans meet me, I am quick to give attention to people but also stand off-ish.  My humans think that I was abused since when they go to pet my head, I duck and slink away some, I might also have some food issues.

With the help of my human's, sooner or later I will be ok and I am doing so good now and I can self feed myself without over eating and throwing up.  That's 3 of my 4 human's over on the left, Frank (standing) then Bryan and Scooby. Scooby picked me out of all the other dogs at the shelter, to come home with them.

The shelter said I am 2 and gave a day to my humans as my birthday but I am certain that don't know for sure since I was a rescue. This does not really matter to me, as being with my humans is what's important.
